Nodachi
Epic Armoury's Nodachi is a two-handed Japanese sword built for elite samurai characters. It measures 55.1 in overall with a single-edged, 39.4 in cutting blade, a large oval crossguard, and a small rounded pommel. The oval handle shape helps steer the blade intuitively and is wrapped in twin-layered, full-grain leather menuki bindings in contrasting colors that form a diamond pattern.
Historically, Nodachi were large and cumbersome weapons whose long cutting edge sat somewhat outside typical bushido styles, turning them into symbols of skill and status. Because they demanded extensive training to wield properly, they were mostly reserved for duels or cavalry use, and on the battlefield they projected danger in the hands of an elite, feared few.
