Throwing Knife Hunter - 9.4 in
Epic Armoury's Throwing Knife Hunter is a curved knife shaped to look ready for a deadly throw. It measures 9.4 in overall, with a 6.3 in single-edged blade carrying a fuller, and a 3.5 in handle hand-painted and sculpted to look like wood set with two small nails, framed by a brass pommel and crossguard.
The Throwing Knife Hunter complements most of Epic Armoury's high- and low-fantasy products. Made from coreless durable closed cell foam and finished with a strong latex coating, it's ready to deliver the safety and appeal you want in your kit.
History
This shape is modeled on a "balanced knife," a style favored across most Western traditions. Long before it became a competitive sport, knife throwing served martial arts and hunting alike, and it always carried real risk: a missed throw left the thrower unarmed while handing a weapon to the target. Running the length of the blade, the fuller (that groove) lightens it while adding structural strength.
