Wing Shield
Designed as part of Epic Armoury's Dark Elven Universe, the Wing Shield is hand-painted and sculpted to resemble a dark blue reptile wing etched with golden rune carvings. At 33.5 in long and packed with detail, it's a striking choice for an evil or dark-themed character.
Two leather arm straps on the back, anchored through hard EVA foam, hold the Wing Shield in place for left-handed wear with a solid, lasting grip. Built from latex, it's made to withstand the continued abuse of LARP combat as long as you keep up with regular latex maintenance.
Inspiration
- Dark elves were first mentioned in Norse mythology as the Dokkalfar or Svartalfar, written in the Prose Edda in the 13th century
- J.R.R. Tolkien mentions dark elves, the "Moriquendi," in The Silmarillion
- Have also been referred to as "Drow" in the Dungeons & Dragons universe, made famous by R.A. Salvatore's The Dark Elf Trilogy
