Orc Waanaz Shield - Wood - 23.6x26 in
Part of Epic Armoury's Orc collection, the Orc Waanaz Shield is a rustic latex shield hand-painted and modeled to resemble planks of wood lashed together with rope and fastened with heavy bolts, giving it exactly the rough finish you'd expect from orc-made gear. It's square in shape, standing 31.5 in wide and tall.
Canvas arm straps on the back, anchored through hard EVA foam, let you wear this shield right- or left-handed with a solid, lasting grip. The latex build is made to withstand repeated LARP combat as long as you keep up with regular latex maintenance.

Inspiration
References to orcs go back to Old English and Anglo-Saxon writing, including Beowulf, as well as 16th-century Italian folktales, with the word itself rooted in the Latin Orcus — the Roman god of the dead. J.R.R. Tolkien's 20th-century Lord of the Rings novels cemented the modern image of orcs as brutish, aggressive, flesh-hungry creatures, an influence that ripples through countless later role-playing games, including Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer, and Warcraft.
