Spartan Greaves - L/XL
These Spartan Greaves, part of Epic Armoury's Light Kit range, are made from polyurea, giving you an authentic armored look without the weight of steel. Steel offers unmatched protection historically, but it also brings real downsides - heavy, inflexible, and constantly needing rust prevention. Outside of re-enactment or SCA-level combat, most players simply don't need that level of protection.
That's the thinking behind our Light Kit Edition armors: polyurea pieces designed to resemble genuine metal armor while prioritizing weight, comfort, and everyday practicality.
Side by side with real metal, these polyurea pieces are hard to tell apart at a glance, yet they're far more comfortable over long wear and flex naturally with your body rather than staying rigid like steel. Each piece weighs roughly a quarter of its steel equivalent, so you move faster and tire less. A hand-applied, durable acrylic finish adds realistic detail, resists rust in any weather, and needs no upkeep. Adjustable leather straps combine with the armor's natural flexibility for a comfortable fit. The design itself draws on Ancient Greek Hoplite armor for its Spartan look.
