Woodsman Knife - 9.1 in
Epic Armoury's Woodsman Knife pairs an 4.3 in metal-finished blade with a 3.5 in wood-sculpted handle, built for rangers and inventive fighters alike. Compared to earlier throwing knives, this one carries more surface detail — wood grain, iron texture, and a faux brass shine on the hilt make it read as strikingly realistic. A loop on the pommel lets you hang it from your belt for easy carry and display, and its low-fantasy styling matches most other Epic Armoury gear. Use it as a weapon, a surgeon's tool, or whatever your character calls for.
Built from coreless, durable closed cell foam and finished with a tough paint coating, this knife is made to hold up safely to repeated throws.
- Offered in Dark Wood, Dark Wood & Gold, and Light Wood & Steel Gray
History
- Knife throwing has roots in hunting and martial arts long before it became a sport
- An unsuccessful throw was historically risky, since it could leave the thrower unarmed while arming the opponent
- The blade is shaped to resemble a "balanced knife," the style favored by most Western traditions
