Elven Hunter Blade
Part of Epic Armoury's Stronghold line, the Elven Hunter Blade is a medium sword inspired by creatures who dwell in the Feywild, 29.5 in long with a 20.9 in gracefully curved blade built for slicing. The detailed handle wears a hand-painted finish that looks like faded gold wrapped around polished ashwood, and the 5.9 in grip is cast with a woodgrain texture, shaped ergonomically and grooved to fit the hand.
Stronghold weapons are foam weapons built for tough LARP combat, needing no maintenance the way latex weapons do, and featuring detailed polyurethane handles.
This blade uses a unique Epic Foam that matches latex in weight without the constant upkeep, and an innovative construction gives the blade tip stab-proof protection. Lightweight with a realistic, cushioned edge, it's built to keep your friends unbruised and unbroken.
- Available in Dark Wood & Dark Red, Bone White & Gold, Ivory White & Gold, Ivory White & Dryad Green, Purple & Dark Wood, Epic Black & Gold and Gray & Bone White colors
History
Elves originate in Germanic mythology and folklore, cast as magical, supernaturally beautiful beings, though that description has changed a great deal across history. It was J.R.R. Tolkien's 20th-century writing on the "Middle Earth Elf" that set the template for how the high-fantasy genre imagines elves today.
