GastiR Shield
Epic Armoury developed the GastiR Shield together with Lejre Land of Legends, a Danish center dedicated to historical-archaeological research and outreach. Building on our earlier Viking-inspired shields, this design pushes authenticity further on several points: the shield boss has been sized down slightly for a more accurate fit against an unarmored hand, and the shield face imitates a leather cover, following research suggesting shields were finished this way to improve durability. Four available patterns were each drawn from interpretations of shields depicted on the Oseberg Tapestry. We can't claim total historical accuracy, but the GastiR Shield represents our most careful attempt yet - ready to serve you well fighting for clan and king.
