Eventide Pourpoint
The Eventide Pourpoint from Epic Armoury lands somewhere between a gambeson and a doublet -- comfortable enough to wear on its own, but equally suited to going underneath armor for extra protection. It combines cotton, cotton padding, and suede panels placed over the areas most exposed in combat, such as the upper and lower arms and the upper chest. A network of strings, aglets, and eyeholes lets the fit be tuned precisely to the wearer.
Historically, pourpoints served as a lighter alternative to a full gambeson, worn as the sole layer of armor only by the poorest soldiers; over time, they evolved away from armor and closer to ordinary clothing. The Eventide Pourpoint draws on that history alongside the aesthetics of modern dark elves and the classic Norse Svartalfar, resulting in a garment that's both protective and flexible.
