Landsknecht Gorget
The Landsknecht Gorget is a masterfully crafted piece of throat and collar armor, guarding the vulnerable neck and upper chest while framing the poise of a commander. Worn alone or as part of a full harness, it turns a soldier into a symbol.
Inspired by the bold silhouettes of 16th-century mercenary captains, it features a clean bevor-style front plate covering the clavicle and upper sternum, while three articulated lames curve upward at the neck, moving with the head to guard the throat from glancing blows.
A steel plate at the upper back mirrors the front, adding spine and shoulder protection while balancing the piece's weight from front to back. That balance keeps the gorget seated securely, without tugging, twisting, or constant readjustment mid-scene or skirmish.
Made from durable 0.04 in steel, the Landsknecht Gorget secures with leather straps and steel buckles for a snug fit over a gambeson or arming doublet, and is fully compatible with Epic Armoury's shoulder plates, spaulders, and cuirass sets, including the rest of the Landsknecht line.
