Captain Pauldrons - Light Kit
A faithful Polyurea (PU) reproduction of Epic Armoury's mild steel Captain Pauldrons, built for fighters and crews who want an imposing look without the imposing weight of steel armor.
The build follows authentic plate logic — a domed upper cop riveted to a flared collar plate, with articulated lower lames overlapping down the arm. Rivet placement and lame lines echo the steel original, finished in a matte blackened look. Molding rather than forging drops the weight dramatically, a real plus for long event days, junior fighters, and performers chasing the steel silhouette without the strain.

Fit, adjustment & care
Most of the fit comes from the strap system itself, but for an even closer fit, you can gently reshape the material with heat — apply it to the inside of the piece rather than the painted exterior so the material softens without harming the finish.
- Finish: The base material beneath the painted surface is black, so scratches and general wear may eventually reveal this black layer underneath.
- Easy touch-ups: Minor scuffs or scratches are simple to fix at home with a primer and acrylic hobby paints (such as Army Painter or Citadel).
- Leather care: Treat the leather straps like any other full-grain leather product, conditioning them occasionally to keep them supple and long-lasting.
- A living finish: Wear and patina are a natural part of your armor's lifecycle, adding to its authentic, battle-worn character over time.
