Captain Arm Protection - Light Kit
This Captain Arm Protection - Light Kit from Epic Armoury replaces forged steel with Polyurea (PU), covering the upper arm, elbow, and forearm at a fraction of the original's weight. The rerebrace, hinged elbow couter, and vambrace all echo the plate logic of the steel version, complete with riveted banding and a pointed fan at the elbow that steers blows away from the joint.
Because it's moulded instead of forged, the weight comes down dramatically -- a real advantage across long event days, for younger fighters, or for performers chasing the steel look without the load. Full grain leather straps and metal buckles close each section, a lace tie secures the top of the upper arm, and a hinged forearm section makes fitting straightforward. It's designed to pair with the rest of the Captain range: Cuirass, Pauldrons, Gorget, Belt Shields, and Leg Protection.

Fit, adjustment & care
Most sizing comes from the strap system itself, but you can heat-shape the material for a closer fit. Direct heat at the inside surface rather than the painted exterior -- that way the piece softens enough to reshape without harming the finish.
- Finish: Underneath the paint, the base material is black, so scuffs and wear over time may show that color through.
- Easy touch-ups: Small scuffs or scratches can be fixed at home with primer and acrylic hobby paint, such as Army Painter or Citadel.
- Leather care: Treat the straps like any full-grain leather item -- occasional conditioning keeps them supple over time.
- A living finish: Expect wear and patina to build up naturally with use, adding to the piece's battle-worn character.
