High-density polyurea provides superior impact resistance while staying significantly lighter than steel, making it a strong choice for long events or active skirmishing.
The plate is sculpted to focus protection on the front of the torso and abdomen, with a rounded flange at the base acting as a functional "sword turner" that deflects incoming strikes away from the vulnerable point where torso and leg armor meet. A hardened, realistic surface texture mimics genuine metal, letting it blend into any Ready for Battle setup or existing plate harness.
Unlike steel, this polyurea build is entirely maintenance-free — no rust, no dents, no oiling — making it a solid choice for wet climates or intensive play. Adjustable 1.6 in leather straps at the back secure the plate for a personalized fit over a gambeson or arming doublet.

Fit, adjustment & care
Most of the fit comes from the strap system itself, but for an even closer fit, you can gently reshape the material with heat — apply it to the inside of the piece rather than the painted exterior so the material softens without harming the finish.
- Finish: The base material beneath the painted surface is black, so scratches and general wear may eventually reveal this black layer underneath.
- Easy touch-ups: Minor scuffs or scratches are simple to fix at home with a primer and acrylic hobby paints (such as Army Painter or Citadel).
- Leather care: Treat the leather straps like any other full-grain leather product, conditioning them occasionally to keep them supple and long-lasting.
- A living finish: Wear and patina are a natural part of your armor's lifecycle, adding to its authentic, battle-worn character over time.
