Osage Orange Wood Bow
Epic Armoury's Osage Orange Wood LARP Bow is made from wood traditionally chosen for bow-making, showing off a gorgeous, historically authentic grain. Whether you're hunting food or foe, or building out a native shaman or savage elven look, this iconic longbow-style piece suits LARP, practice, and beyond. Fiberglass reinforces the tips, and a laced leather wrap forms the grip; being ambidextrous, it works equally well for right- and left-handed archers.
Draw weight measures approximately 28-29 lb (+/- 5 lb) / 28.7 lb / 448 oz with a 28" shaft — expect it to settle about 3-4 lb lower after a few shooting sessions, since it's a wooden bow. A string is included.
Because this bow is made from natural materials, expect slight variation in appearance from what's shown, with draw weight varying up to 5 pounds above or below the listed figure.
- Has a distinct appearance due to the Osage Orange wood used, featuring golden, almost bright yellow heartwood which darkens over time
- Has a 29 lb@28" size
Inspiration
- Osage orangewood takes its name from the Osage Indian Tribe, on whose land the tree grew in abundance
- Its exceptional hardness and durability made it a natural choice for weapon-making, bows included
