Norman Sword
Epic Armoury's Norman Sword is a latex longsword with a classic fantasy appearance. The 31.5 in double-edged blade carries a fuller and a plain but practical crossguard, and the 7.9 in handle, usable one- or two-handed, is wrapped in split leather for a comfortable, secure grip. A round pommel, hand-painted like the rest of the sword, is detailed to match the crossguard.
It's built from durable closed cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, giving your kit both safety and appeal.
History
- Commonly referred to as a "broadsword," which is actually a historically incorrect term
- Inspired by the two-handed longsword of the late medieval and Renaissance era, but with a slightly shorter blade
