Elliptical Shield
Modeled after the gear carried by Ancient Roman soldiers, the Elliptical Shield from Epic Armoury is an oval latex shield finished in black with a tarnished brass rim and shield boss for a battle-worn look that stands out among your fellow warriors.
A punch-grip wrapped in suede leather keeps the hold comfortable and dependable. Built from hard EVA foam and latex, it's made to survive repeated LARP combat provided you keep up regular latex maintenance. Bring the Elliptical Shield into the fray and let it become part of your fighting style.
- Available in Emperor Red and Epic Black colors
History
- Iron rim was sometimes used as a way to reinforce the shield
- The Shield Boss is the round, convex piece of material at the center of the shield that was used to deflect blows
