Captain Armour Set
Lead from the front in Epic Armoury's Captain Armour Set, a full head-to-toe kit built for officers and other high-status characters. Every piece shares the same matte blackened finish and epic design language that defines the range, all molded from high-density polyurea for the sharp look of polished steel at a fraction of the weight. It's rust-proof, dent-resistant, and needs zero maintenance, so it still looks parade-ready after a long, muddy weekend, and full grain leather strapping throughout ties the whole set together with a secure, adjustable fit.
The complete set is built from six pieces:
- Light Kit Captain Cuirass: the centerpiece of the set, covering the torso with the imperial design that defines the Captain look while staying wearable for extended sessions.
- Light Kit Captain Gorget: a standing collar flares across the collarbones and upper back to protect the neck and upper chest, opening at one shoulder for easy fitting and lacing along the lower edge.
- Light Kit Captain Pauldrons: a pair of shoulder guards combining a domed cop, flared collar plate, and articulated lower lames for a full range of motion.
- Light Kit Captain Arm Protection: a pair covering the upper arm, elbow, and forearm, with an articulated couter and pointed fan steering blows away from the elbow.
- Light Kit Captain Belt Shields: two heraldic-profile shields hang from the belt via leather loops, guarding the outer thigh and mounting or removing quickly.
- Light Kit Captain Leg Protection: covers the thigh, knee, and shin behind a ridged, riveted knee plate and pointed fan, held in place by a belt-mounted top strap plus extra knee straps.
Together, the pieces build a commanding, unified silhouette for officers and other high-status characters who want to lead the charge without carrying real steel.

Fit, adjustment & care
The strap system on each piece handles most of the fit on its own, and where a closer fit is needed, the material itself can be reshaped with heat.
- Heat-shaping for a custom fit: apply heat to the inside (back) of a piece, never the painted exterior, to gently reshape the material without damaging the finish.
- Finish: the black base material sits under the painted surface, so scuffs and wear may eventually show through as black patches.
- Simple touch-ups: fix minor scuffs or scratches at home with a primer and acrylic hobby paint, such as Army Painter or Citadel.
- Leather care: condition the leather straps occasionally, the same as you would any full-grain leather product, to keep them supple.
- A living finish: expect wear and patina to build up naturally with use, adding to the piece's authentic, battle-worn character.
