RFB Buckler
Inspired by skilled swordsmen throughout history, the RFB Buckler from Epic Armoury is a small, versatile latex shield measuring 14.2 in across. Its neutral design suits many character types, sculpted and painted to look like wood trimmed in bright, shiny iron.
Two canvas arm straps on the back, anchored through hard EVA foam, let you wear this shield left-handed with a solid, lasting grip. The latex build is made to withstand repeated LARP combat as long as you keep up with regular latex maintenance.
- Available in Epic Black, Steel Gray and Light Wood colors
History
- Originally developed for Bucellarii, personal armies of rich landowners in the late Roman Empire
- Particularly popular with light-footed fighters during the Renaissance and Baroque eras
